Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland Patient Advisory Panel volunteer (online)

Become a key voice in shaping the future of respiratory care by joining the Patient Advisory Panel in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Help improve policies, provide feedback and share your unique perspective to make a real difference for people with lung conditions.

This role will suit you if…

  • You’re living with a lung condition or caring for someone who is
  • You’re based in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland
  • You’re over 18 years of age and you’re able to join online meetings every three months.

How will you help?

As a member of the Nations Advisory Panel, you’ll bring your unique perspective and join other people across different lung conditions so that together the Panel can represent a diverse set of views.

Your role will involve reviewing and providing feedback on information from the Government and Asthma + Lung UK, thinking about the impact of policies not just on yourself but other people with lung conditions and helping to shape future care. You might also have the opportunity to share your personal story and experiences with others.

The Panel meets online four times a year, and your input will help drive projects and policies that make a real difference.

What you’ll get out of it?

You will help shape the future of respiratory care in your area, while sharing your knowledge and lived experience. You’ll join a friendly team where you get to meet and connect with other volunteers and staff from Asthma + Lung UK. We provide volunteer induction training, a team member contact to support you on your volunteering journey, we’ll refund all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred while volunteering.
