1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is Asthma + Lung UK, registered charity number 326730 of The White Chapel Building, 10 Whitechapel High Street, London, E1 8QS.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to individuals aged 18 or over who are full-time residents of the United Kingdom.
2.2 The competition is open to individuals living with a lung condition.
2.3 Submitted photographs must not include identifiable individuals who have not given their consent to be featured.
2.4 Asthma + Lung UK reserves the right to request proof of eligibility. Any documents submitted for this purpose will be securely destroyed once eligibility has been verified.
3. Entry Requirements
3.1 Entry is free of charge and no purchase is necessary.
3.2 To enter, participants must complete the online entry form and submit a photograph accompanied by a short-written description of the image.
3.3 Accepted file formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG. Maximum file size: 10MB.
3.4 Entries must be original and must not infringe the intellectual property rights or privacy rights of any third party.
3.5 Each entrant may submit one entry only.
4. Competition Period
4.1 The competition opens on Tuesday 26 May 2026 and closes at 5pm on Friday 21st August 2026.
4.2 Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
5. Prizes
5.1 Prize details will be listed on the competition webpage or form.
5.2 No cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
5.3 Prizes will be delivered either by post or email, depending on the nature of the prize. Winners will be contacted directly to confirm delivery details.
6. Winner Selection and Results
6.1 Winners will be selected by the Asthma + Lung UK Volunteer ambassadors who live with lung conditions.
6.2 Winners will be selected based on criteria including creativity, relevance to the theme, and quality of submission.
6.3 Winners will be notified by email and announced in August 2026.
6.4 The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.5 By entering the competition, participants agree that if they are selected as a winner, Asthma + Lung UK may use their name and entry for the purposes of announcing and promoting the competition, including on its website, emails and social media channels.
7. Intellectual Property and Use of Submissions
7.1 By entering the competition, entrants grant Asthma + Lung UK a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and publish their entry for promotional and marketing purposes where the entrant has provided consent via the entry form.
7.2 Entrants may choose from the following options regarding the use of their submission:
• Consent to full marketing use across any and all Asthma + Lung UK channels.
• Consent to use for the Better Breathing Summer campaign only
• No consent for marketing use
Consent can be withdrawn at any time. To do this, please email Asthma + Lung UK info@asthmaandlung.org.uk.
7.3 Asthma + Lung UK will not use any material for marketing purposes without consent.
8. Data Protection
8.1 Personal data provided in connection with this competition will be processed in accordance with Asthma + Lung UK’s Privacy policy | Asthma + Lung UK.
8.2 Data will be used solely for the administration of the competition and any further communications the entrant has opted into.
8.3 Any sensitive information (such as proof of condition) will be used only for eligibility verification and will not be retained.
9. Liability
9.1 Asthma + Lung UK accepts no responsibility for entries not received, incomplete, or delayed due to technical or connectivity issues.
9.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in this competition or the acceptance of any prize.
10. General
10.1 Asthma + Lung UK reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
10.2 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
