About the event

Together, in summer 2025 we took 7.5 million steps – the average number of breaths an adult takes each year. 

A challenge to breathe better over summer – all while raising money to fund life-changing research and support for everyone living with breathing problems.

Being active can help manage your lung condition, improve your quality of life and help you feel better day to day.

Our Summer Steps challenge aim was to increase your physical activity in a way that works best for you. The perfect reason to get out in the sunshine and spend time with family and friends.

Steps a day challenge

Challenge yourself to walk a number of steps a day for a month (or more!).

Distance challenge

Challenge yourself to walk a specific distance on a set day or over a month in your favourite location.

Trek

Embrace the challenge and take on a trek, like the Three Peaks Challenge or the Hadrian's Wall Path.

Social walk

Get everyone involved - walk with friends or family and end your route at a nice coffee shop or pub for a well-deserved treat!

Dog walk

If you don't have a dog, why not volunteer to walk someone else's?

Stair climb

An easy way to factor your challenge into your daily routine.
