Our partners

We would like to thank all of our corporate partners, past and present, for the incredible support they have given to Asthma + Lung UK. From nicotine replacement therapy companies to construction contractors, we’ve partnered with a range of companies to create impactful relationships.

ENWL Update

We’ve joined forces with Electricity North West to ensure that people living with lung conditions in the Northwest of England are aware of the Extra Care Register. For people who are reliant on electricity to support their lung condition, the register enables Electricity North West to reach out to households and offer extra support during a planned power cut or fault in the area. Our helpline has also provided specialist training on life with a lung condition for ENWL's customer vulnerability team, allowing them to up skill their employees and provide better support for customers.

IM

Since 2021, national law firm Irwin Mitchell has boosted our support services for people living with lung conditions by helping to run our 150 volunteer-led support groups. Irwin Mitchell’s legal experts regularly speak at our support groups, empowering attendees by providing them with information on the support available for workplace illnesses or illness-related injuries.

Lucas

As our Clean Air Construction Partner, we’re working with Lucas UK to offer lung testing and health advice to construction workers on sites across London and raise awareness of air quality in the construction industry. Throughout our partnership, we have been promoting new initiatives within construction to make a real difference to air quality in the built environment for both construction workers and the people who use the buildings and infrastructure created.

ALUK Niq

We have been working in partnership with NiQuitin to run campaigns on clean air and to promote quitting smoking in national television advertising and retailer events. Our partnership aims to demonstrate the invisible factors that can affect lung health and how anyone can make a difference to protect the nation’s lung health.

Previous partners

We'd also like to thank some of our past partners who have made a huge contribution to our work.

nutricia

Combining our expertise, we partnered with Nutricia to build Eat Well Booklets and information on our website, offering vital dietary advice for people to better understand how to manage their lung conditions through nutrition. Over our multi-year partnership, Nutricia also delivered talks on nutrition for lung health, tailoring information for individuals at our support groups.

thales

Through our charity of the year partnership, Thales employees raised more than £230,000 to fund research into asthma diagnosis in children, ensuring quicker and more accurate treatments for our youngest and most vulnerable. From abseiling down their offices to bespoke cycle challenges around the country, Thales employees demonstrated their close connection to the charity and passion for not only raising money, but also raising awareness of the importance of lung health.

fletchers

In 2022, Fletchers and Asthma + Lung UK came together in a charity of the year partnership to raise money through fundraising activities and donations. Fletchers’ fundraising helped us to support hundreds of people with lung conditions with advice and support on managing their condition through our helpline.

Danny Lucas
Executive Chairman and MD, Lucas UK

With one in five people in the UK battling lung conditions, and the construction industry rife with daily respiratory hazards, our partnership with Asthma + Lung UK has become an invaluable asset. Since 2017, we've worked hand-in-hand with their dedicated team to raise awareness within our workforce and actively support their critical mission.

This collaboration has not only empowered our employees with vital knowledge to protect their lungs, but it's also allowed us to contribute to the fight for better lung health across the entire nation. We're incredibly proud of this partnership and look forward to continuing our impactful efforts together.

Electricity North West

Our partnership with Asthma + Lung UK has provided us with valuable understanding of specific medical conditions and how these affect their service users. Their expert insights have enabled us to upskill our frontline customer service teams to give them more confidence in how to better support these customer groups. In turn, Asthma + Lung UK have been able to share our key messages across their internal teams and people with lung conditions, to make them aware of our services and the wealth of support we can provide.
