Summer Competition 2026: This Is What Summer Looks Like With a Lung Condition

We know summer isn’t always easy for people with lung conditions. Things like hot weather, seasonal allergies and air pollution can make your symptoms worse. 

That’s why we’re inviting adults living with a lung condition to enter our competition and share what summer looks like for you. Whether your summer is active or restful, outdoors or indoors, we want to celebrate the many ways people enjoy the season safely.

By sharing your experience, you’ll help others with lung conditions feel seen, understood and less alone. 

The Asthma and Lung UK Summer Competition 2026, “This Is What Summer Looks Like With a Lung Condition”, is open from Tuesday 26 May and will close on Friday 21 August. 

Please note: only one entry per person will be counted, to ensure everyone has an equal chance of winning.

Competition Prizes:

1st Prize: £250 John Lewis voucher

2nd Prize: £75 John Lewis voucher

3rd Prize: £50 John Lewis voucher (3 available)

How to enter?

Your photo should include you – whether that’s a selfie, a photo with your family or pet, a photo taken by someone else, or you enjoying a moment that represents your summer.

  • A short description telling us why you chose it and/or a little bit about you 

  • Tell us which lung condition(s) you live with
