You don’t have to manage your lung condition alone. Our intro to COPD online session is here to help you understand and manage your COPD.
Who should attend?
• Anyone recently diagnosed with COPD.
• People who want a refresher on inhaler technique or how to manage daily symptoms.
• Family members who want to better support someone with asthma.
What to expect in this session
• A 60 minute session led by a registered nurse experienced in respiratory care.
• A plain-language presentation with easy visuals.
• A 15 minute live Q&A where you can ask the nurse your questions.
• A supportive, non-judgemental tone; we welcome every question.
• A safe space for you to share experiences who others who understand what you are going through.
When?
The session is repeated every other month on the first Wednesday of the month at 2pm over Zoom.
The next session date will be on Wednesday 4th March at 2pm and will cover the background to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), how it affects the airways, the symptoms and how it is diagnosed. It will look at management and treatment options plus inhaler technique, flare-ups and management plans.
