1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is Asthma + Lung UK, registered charity number 326730 of The White Chapel Building,10 Whitechapel High Street, London, E1 8QS.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to individuals who are full-time residents of the United Kingdom.
2.2 The competition is open to: individuals living with a lung condition.
2.3 Entries on behalf of individuals under the age of 16 must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. By doing so, the parent or guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2.4 Photographs submitted must not include identifiable images of individuals under the age of 16. This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection standards. Entries that do not meet this condition may not be eligible for consideration.
2.5 Asthma + Lung UK reserves the right to request proof of eligibility. Any documents submitted for this purpose will be securely destroyed once eligibility has been verified.
3. Entry Requirements
3.1 Entry is free of charge and no purchase is necessary.
3.2 To enter, participants must complete the online entry form and submit either:
• a photograph, or
• a drawing,
accompanied by a short written description of the image.
3.3 Types of files you can upload: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, CSV, TXT, RTF, HTML, ZIP. Size limit: 10MB.
3.4 Entries must be original and must not infringe the intellectual property rights or privacy rights of any third party.
3.5 Each entrant may submit one entry only.
4. Competition Period
4.1 The competition opens on Tuesday 20 May 2025 and closes at 5pm on Monday August 2025.
4.2 Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
5. Prizes
5.1 Prize details will be listed on the competition webpage here.
5.2 No cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
5.3 Prizes will be delivered either by post or email, depending on the nature of the prize. Winners will be contacted directly to confirm delivery details.
6. Winner Selection and Results
6.1 Winners will be selected at random using an online random generator (e.g. digital prize wheel or equivalent).
6.2 All eligible entries received by the closing date will be included in the draw.
6.3 The random draw will take place on or after Monday 4 August 2025.
6.4 Winners will be notified by email and announced in August 2025.
6.5 The online random generator's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Intellectual Property and Use of Submissions
7.1 By entering the competition, entrants (or their parents/guardians) grant Asthma + Lung UK a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and publish their entry for promotional and marketing purposes in connection with this and future campaigns, subject to the marketing consent selected in the entry form.
7.2 Entrants may choose from the following options regarding the use of their submission:
• Consent to full marketing use
• Consent to use for the Better Breathing Summer campaign only
• No consent for marketing use
7.3 Asthma + Lung UK will not use any material for marketing purposes without consent.
8. Data Protection
8.1 Personal data provided in connection with this competition will be processed in accordance with Asthma + Lung UK’s Privacy Policy Privacy policy | Asthma + Lung UK.
8.2 Data will be used solely for the administration of the competition and any further communications the entrant has opted into.
8.3 Any sensitive information (such as proof of condition) will be used only for eligibility verification and will not be retained.
9. Liability
9.1 Asthma + Lung UK accepts no responsibility for entries not received, incomplete, or delayed due to technical or connectivity issues.
9.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in this competition or the acceptance of any prize.
10. General
10.1 Asthma + Lung UK reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
10.2 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
