Asthma + Lung UK welcomes a new year-long partnership with EDF Energy, which will help people with lung conditions and breathing issues to live better all year round.
This ‘caring collaboration’ will enable the charity to deliver seasonal health guides to EDF Energy customers who are living with severe breathing difficulties or who rely on medical equipment to manage their condition.
These guides will provide gold-standard health advice on all aspects of living with a lung condition. EDF Energy’s customers will also be signposted to the charity’s helpline, which is staffed by healthcare advisors and our clinical team, as well as its network of support groups. In addition, more than 9,000 EDF Energy customers will receive targeted services and resources from Asthma + Lung UK to help them manage their lung condition more effectively, whatever the time of year.
Sarah Sleet, Chief Executive at Asthma + Lung UK, said: “Winter is the most difficult time of the year for people living with lung conditions like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or bronchiectasis because respiratory viruses, such as flu, drive up emergency hospital admissions. So, we’re pleased to launch this partnership as we go into the colder months, which will offer much needed support to people with lung conditions and breathing issues.

A caring collaboration like this can make such a difference by providing the right help when people need it the most.
