Your severe asthma checker result
From what you’ve told us, it sounds like you could benefit from talking to your specialist team about biologic medicines for asthma. Biologic treatments are sometimes called monoclonal antibodies (mAbs).
If you're eligible for biologic medicines, they could improve your asthma symptoms. People who are taking biologics tell us that they've changed their lives.
If you haven’t been assessed for biologic medicines yet, it’s worth asking your GP or nurse to explain what they are and if they could work for you. Biologic medicines are a specialist treatment for certain types of severe asthma. They might work for you if you have severe allergic asthma or high levels of eosinophil in your body.
It might take a while to find the right treatments for you, but you can work with your GP, nurse or specialist to find something that works well.
